Climbing Rocks!
Here's a pic of yours truly climbing up some cliff face back in the day. Rock climbing is such a great sport for lots of reasons. Heres a few, just off the top of my head:
- Gets you away from that computer and using your body. Healthy body, healthy mind.
- Takes you to beautiful places and gives you a reason for going back. Connection with nature is getting more difficult these days.
- Teaches you how to deal with fear...
- and with failure too.
- The competitive part is more relaxed than in other sports. The emphasis is often more on competing with yourself.
- Great for focusing the mind: when you're climbing nothing else matters.
- Cathartic release of aggression - better out than in!
- Balances the mind - a left and right brained activity.
- Legal highs - adrenaline gets you high and you won't get busted for it.
- A fun way to develop isometric finger strength.
