Climbing Rocks!

Here's a pic of yours truly climbing up some cliff face back in the day. Rock climbing is such a great sport for lots of reasons. Here’s a few, just off the top of my head:

  1. Gets you away from that computer and using your body. Healthy body, healthy mind.
  2. Takes you to beautiful places and gives you a reason for going back. Connection with nature is getting more difficult these days.
  3. Teaches you how to deal with fear...
  4. and with failure too.
  5. The competitive part is more relaxed than in other sports. The emphasis is often more on competing with yourself.
  6. Great for focusing the mind: when you're climbing nothing else matters.
  7. Cathartic release of aggression - better out than in!
  8. Balances the mind - a left and right brained activity.
  9. Legal highs - adrenaline gets you high and you won't get busted for it.
  10. A fun way to develop isometric finger strength.
