The Antichristmas ZoneAntichristmas 2010It's been a decade since this site was first launched. Antichristmas Year 10. What does Santa stand for? Back in the day Santa was a shaman who plied the villages with hallucinogenic mushrooms. But today Santa has become a whore for the capitalist system; an icon saying buy buy buy, economic growth at any costs. How long can it go on for? Well it seems like Santa may be soon getting his come uppance. His home in the North Pole has been vanishing into the sea each summer since 2007. And since 2008 one of the most important energy supplies for the economy stopped growing and started to go downhill. Remember the oil crises of the 70s? The temporary shortfall of oil crashed the world economy just like 2008. But those oil shortages were deliberate. The Saudi's wished to put pressure on the US over Israel. The situation now is far worse since the problem is simply down to the natural decline of the world's oil field's. And a shrinking energy supply means a contracting economy. In another decade we may not be able to afford to celebrate Christmas in the porcine style we've come accustomed too. This is the tenth year World Enterprises has made a stand in the virtual front line against Christmas. The first anti-xmas pages, launched in 2000, were deliberately distasteful parody of modern corporatized Christmas. In 2002 the current version of the site was born. This has gained attention across the world. It's been featured in a broadsheet newspaper, lead to a radio interviews, and even provoked some hate mail. The past couple of year's I've not done much to bring down this corrupt and unholy institution but now I'm back and ready to get busy like these guys from Toronto doing their best to defile that heinous Bing Crosby/David Bowie song Little Drummer Boy. Check out their parody and the sickening original. What's the true meaning of Christmas for them? Watch the vid. Well done lads. What’s here...
