Christmas is all about kids. By letting them binge on consumer goods a few times a year they’ll soon develop an obsession with material possessions in much the same way a person with an eating disorder has developed an obsession with food. Psychologically Christmas will have a more powerful effect than birthdays because everyone is sharing this lust for goods at the same time. This gives it the appearence of normality. It fools one into thinking that the obsession with material goods not neurotic behaviour. So it’s very important to get the young ones to start thinking differently. This card has a slight twist: is the girl reading the same card as you are? And if so how come the photograph is on her computer screen at the same time it was taken? Maybe they figure it out and once their brains are in gear they might soon start figuring out that Christmas and materialism are just a load of bollocks.
